Story

Stephanie endures sixteen miserable years bearing unfair blame for her mother's passing during childbirth. Shunned by her cold father and scorned by her older brother Alexander, she treasures the slightest hint of familial affection. Everything deteriorates further when a scheming cousin infiltrates their household, prompting Alexander to openly declare that Stephanie should have perished instead.

A fatal medical diagnosis grants his callous wish, forcing Stephanie to spend her final days in quiet resignation rather than pleading for unearned love. As the agonizing truth of her terminal condition surfaces after her departure, Alexander faces the crushing weight of a guilt that cannot be undone.
