Story

Vivian loses her father and is thrown out by her stepmother Catherine, who keeps the house and the money. Olivia, the stepsister, gets the new clothes and the engagement to Damien Russo, the most feared man in the city. Vivian gets trafficked. Damien's people pull her out of it and he brings her home, telling himself it's only until she's steady on her feet.

It doesn't stay that way. Vivian starts to want him, and Damien, who has never let anyone close, starts to want her back. Then the arrangement surfaces: Olivia is the bride his family signed for. Vivian has to decide whether to fight for a man who belongs to her stepsister on paper, or walk before the wedding makes the choice for her.
