Story

Qin Zhengshu is a defense attorney with a record so clean other lawyers call him the Grim Reaper. Duan Chengzhou, son of the city's richest man, is charged with rape and hires him to walk away clean, paying whatever it costs.

What Duan doesn't know is that the man he corners in a hot pot restaurant, mocking his pregnant wife and shoving him around, is the lawyer he's paying. Qin reveals his identity; Duan laughs it off and keeps going. Then the trial starts, the defense attorney stands, and Duan finally does the math. Now Qin has to decide how a man defends a client he'd rather bury, and what the verdict costs him either way.
