Story

Six years after his betrothed and his younger sibling vanished in a purported tragedy, an eldest brother learns the agonizing truth: the pair staged their deaths with parental endorsement so they could be together. Branded an unfeeling outcast and falsely blamed for family misfortune, the neglected heir faces a terminal physical prognosis without offering any defense.

Rather than pleading for affection from his cold relatives, he channels his lingering vitality into a final transcendent musical score. Only when his physical form is reduced to ashes does the family unearth documentation revealing the younger brother's sinister financial fraud and slander. Consumed by inconsolable guilt and public ostracization, the shattered parents and unfaithful bride are left with nothing but regret.
