Story

Maren Kade passes up an elite appointment at the national academy to safeguard her hometown, risking smoke inhalation to extract twelve trapped teenagers and the mayor's daughter from an inferno. Rather than receiving official honors, her accomplishments are stolen by her envious squad chief Corbin. Using an absurd violation about personal water bottles as a pretext, Corbin terminates Maren's employment in public disgrace.

When Corbin's botched tactical plans cause subterranean gas fires to advance uncontrollably toward a metropolis of one hundred thousand people, municipal authorities face total catastrophe. Recruited by an elite aerial emergency commander, Maren pilots high-altitude retardant drops, disproves Corbin's fraudulent claims, and halts the explosion before it incinerates the populace.
