  • Zachary's kneeling plea lands three years too late to feel good
  • Watching a neglected wife choose herself instead of waiting to be chosen

Story

Leona has spent three years married to Zachary, a man whose heart never once turned toward her. She learned to read his silences, to accept the separate rooms and the polite distance, telling herself that patience might eventually soften him. Then his first love returns, and the divorce papers arrive — not as a threat, but as a decision already made.

When Leona's health collapses, she takes the pen and signs from her hospital bed, choosing to release a marriage that was never really hers. What she doesn't expect is Zachary on his knees beside her, begging her not to go through with it. Now she has to decide whether his late regret is love, guilt, or just the panic of losing something he only valued once it was slipping away.
