Liam is a dispatcher at the bottom of the Los Angeles Police Department, taking calls nobody important bothers to read. Then one night his vision splits open: he can see the hidden crime codes stamped on people, objects, and places, each one pointing at a case someone buried.
He starts pulling cold files off the shelf and closing them before the detectives even arrive, which makes him the most hated man in the building and the most useful. Every solved case humiliates a superior or an FBI expert who wrote him off, and every new code drags him closer to the people who would rather he stayed invisible.
